Four students were swept away by the Basudev stream in Hetauda-19 of Makawanpur district on Tuesday while returning home from school, residents said.
The students were studying at Nirmal Secondary School in Hetauda-19 and were all below Grade 5, according to residents.
One of the students has been found dead, while search and rescue teams and residents are continuing to search for the other three.
