Udayapur
A man has killed his younger brother in Triyuga Municipality-1, Jogidaha, Udayapur, by attacking him with a khukuri early on Saturday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Kedarman Dong, spokesperson of Udayapur district police office, said that 43-year-old Yuvaraj Rai struck his 30-year-old brother, Dharmaraj, with the sharp weapon at around 2 am.
“Dharmaraj, who was critically injured, was rushed to the District Hospital Udayapur, where he was pronounced dead at around 2:50 am,” he said. “The suspect fled the scene after the incident, and a search operation is underway.”
Preliminary investigation suggests the attack followed a dispute between the brothers after Yuvaraj allegedly assaulted their mother.
