Two found dead in Udayapur

The bodies of a man and a teenage girl were found on Wednesday morning in ward 4 of Chaudandigadhi Municipality, Udayapur district.
According to police, 28-year-old Rabin Rai and 14-year-old Manju Rai, a grade 10 student at Singhadevi Secondary School in ward 2 of the same municipality, were discovered dead near Amalchauri village.
Police Inspector Babin Rai, chief of the Area Police Office Beltar, said Manju’s body was found lying on a trail in the village, while Rabin’s body was discovered hanging around 200 metres below the site.
Locals informed the police after spotting a body on the road in the morning. During the search operation, officers located Rabin’s body as well.
Superintendent of Police Hariharnath Yogi, chief of the District Police Office, Udayapur, said the bodies have been sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway.
According to police, Rabin had returned home from Kathmandu only a few days ago.
