A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday made appointments to different bodies.

The meeting appointed Parbat Kumar Karki as executive director for the Citizen Investment Trust, said Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma,who is also the government’s spokesperson.

Likewise, the government appointed Kiran Babu Pun as managing director of the Cultural Corporation and Ramesh Chandra Neupane as chair of the Naradevi Ayurveda Hospital Development Committee.

The meeting also appointed Dr Rabi Malla as executive director at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre.

The government also forwarded an ordinance to amend the Financial Procedures and Fiscal Accountability Act to President Ramchandra Paudel for authentication. Through the ordinance, the government has made some changes in the provisions of preparing the annual budget and conducting pre-budget discussions in the parliament. It approved the tabling of a bill to amend the Political Parties Act in Parliament.
