RSP president Lamichhane’s driver dies while undergoing treatment

Rastriya Swantantra Party president Rabi Lamichhane’s personal driver Dil Bahadur Thapa died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old died while undergoing treatment at the Lalitpur-based Nepal Mediciti Hospital at 9:35 am on Tuesday, the hospital said.
Thapa, a local resident of Barhabise Municipality-3 of Sindhupalchowk district, had sustained serious injuries to his head and legs after falling from the top floor of a three-storey house on April 17.
He was rushed to the College of Medical Sciences in Bharatpur for treatment. Thapa was airlifted to the Lalitpur-based hospital on a Nepal Army helicopter on April 18 for additional treatment.
Lamichhane had taken to his Facebook to announce that Thapa had been airlifted to Lalitpur following the recommendation of the doctors. Thapa’s family members had also agreed to the same.
