Giri new president of Kantipur Pratisthan journalists' union
An 18-member committee under Giri was elected unanimously.Post Report
A new working committee, led by Anil Giri, a senior reporter covering foreign and political affairs at the Post, was unanimously elected as the president of Kantipur Pratisthan Shakha of the Federation of Nepalese Journalist on Wednesday.
Giri was elected along with an 18-member working committee for a three-year term. Buddhisagar Marasini was elected vice-president. Marasini is a desk editor at Kantipur daily.
Likewise, Fatima Banu, a reporter at Kantipur daily, was elected vice-president under the women's category. Suraj Kunwar, a reporter at Kantipur daily, was elected secretary.
Similarly, Chandan Kumar Mandal, a reporter at the Post, was elected joint secretary of the chapter under inclusive category. Krishna Sharan Paudel and Yogya Banjade of Kantipur were elected joint-secretary and treasurer, respectively.
Eleven other members were also picked under various categories.
Meanwhile, a new working committee, consisting of seven members, was also unanimously elected to different posts of Kantipur FM Pratisthan Shakha.
Bashu Khadka and Indra Laxmi Ghimire were elected as president and vice-president.
