Chairperson of the Nepal Communist Party Rishiram Kattel on Saturday said the Election Commission had set a wrong precedent by upholding the registration of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
He said he would appeal to the Supreme Court. “We will appeal to the court within a week,” Kattel told a press conference in the Capital.
The commission on Friday upheld its decision to recognise the ruling party as NCP in response to Kattel's claim that his party owned the name.
