Nepali Communist Party (NCP) and Rastriya Janamorcha supported the proposal floated by Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.
The government on June 8 had unveiled its annual policies and programmes stressing on tourism, energy, agriculture, industry, social sector and infrastructure development. The province assembly held a discussion on the policies and programmes on Tuesday.
Taking part in the discussion, lawmakers of the ruling party lauded the policies and programmes terming them the best.
Lawmakers of main opposition Nepali Congress (NC), however, said the policies and programmes are ambitious and missed many topics. They also smelt rat over the implementation of policies and programmes.
At the same time, the leaders criticised the policies and programmes, saying they are influenced by political personalities, not practical, confusing and similar to election manifesto.
Responding to the queries, Chief Minister Gurung said that development projects are included in the policies and programmes.
He claimed that the policies and programmes are ambitious and are not unveiled in haste.
