UML candidate elected federal parliament member from Manang
CPN-UML candidate Polden Chopang Gurung has been elected as the federal parliament member from Himalayan district Manang.

CPN-UML candidate Polden Chopang Gurung has been elected as the federal parliament member from Himalayan district Manang.
An apple farmer by profession, Polden acquired 2,300 votes while his contender former state minister and Nepali Congress candidate Tek Bahadur Gurung garnered 2,021 votes.
According to Chief District Officer Hari Prasad Panta, Chief Election Officer Deepak Dhakal is preparing to officially announce the result.
Of the votes cast, 4,321 votes have been declared valid and 16 votes invalid.
Election Office said that Manang which has the least number of voters where 5,881 had registered their names in the electoral rolls, only 4,338 cast votes.
