A district court has been established for the first time in Kawasoti of eastern Nawalparasi. Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli on Tuesday inaugurated the newly established Nawalpur district court.

Addressing the inaugural function, Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli said he has been focusing his attention to make the justice system easy and prompt for the general public. He said the court is not only a government office dedicated to provide justice but also a life style of the people. 

He noted that it is the responsibility of the court to make justice easily accessible to the general people.  He added that the Nawalpur court should build its reputation as an ideal place for justice.  He expressed his commitment to leave no stones unturned to make the newly established Nawalpur court as an exemplary place for justice delivery.  Kawasoti is home town of CJ Parajuli.

After the Nawalparasi district was divided into two parts in the new federal set-up, the district court of eastern Nawalparasi (now Nawalpur) was established in Kawasoti. Earlier, the locals of Kawasoti had to travel 80 km to reach the district court. The new court has been established in a rented building with the support from locals.

CJ Parajuli said the court will construct its own modern building within the next two years.
