Despite resumption of one-way traffic, the sheer number of stranded vehicles has created traffic jam in the district as the police have halted the vehicles plying along the East-West Highway at Gaidakot.
The traffic jam has stretched as far as 15kms from Gaidakot towards Rajhar.
The police have said that they have stopped the vehicles at Gaidakot as leaving them at the highway would create more traffic obstruction and the passengers would face hard time with no nearby settlements and shops.
Vehicular movement along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section resumed from 4 pm yesterday after slashing the slope.
A 50-metre road section collapsed along the bank of Trishuli River at Charkilo following incessant rains. Four metre of the nine-metre wide road gave way due to a landslip.
