Big three top brass in Bharatpur to campaign for local polls

Prime Minister and CPN (MC) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will be addressing a joint election assembly being held at Central Terminal Buspark in Baratpur.
Likewise, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will address the meeting scheduled to be held at Pokhara buspark.
As per the Election Commission, today is the last day for election campaign before the commencement of 48-hour election silence period.
A huge number of security personnel have been deployed in the newly declared metorpolis in view of the leaders’ visit.
Meanwhile, cadres of the major three parties have organised motorcycle rallies in a show of strength and party supporters have started pouring in at the mass assembly venue.
NC and CPN (MC) have fielded PM Dahal’s daughter, Renu Dahal, as the joint candidate for the post of Bharatpur Metropolitan City mayor and NC leader Parbati Shah for the post of deputy mayor.
Similarly, CPN-UML along with Rastriya Prajatantra Party has fielded Devi Gyawali and RPP’s Badri Timalsena for the post of mayor and deputy mayor respectively.
