The House speaker, on Wednesday, held separate meetings with NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at their respective residences, regarding the action plan of the parliament meet scheduled for Thursday. The Speaker urged both the leaders to resolve the parliament deadlock in consensus.
A deadlock in the parliament began as the major three parties are sharply divided over the action plan. UML wants to endorse the budget related bill before the no-confidence motion is presented while NC and Maoist are adamant on presenting the no-confidence motion first.

Meanwhile, Speaker Gharti Magar held discussions with President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Shital Niwas regarding the latest political situation.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Speaker Gharti Magar held a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
