A Buddha Air aircraft skidded off the runway while landing at Bhadrapur Airport on Friday evening.
All 51 passengers and four crew members on board flight 901 are safe, the airline said in a statement. The flight took off at 8:23 pm from Kathmandu.
The aircraft, piloted by Sailesh Limbu, overran the runway at around 9:08 pm and came to a stop in a grassy area adjacent to the airstrip.
Jhapa Chief District Officer Shivaram Gelal confirmed that no injuries were reported.
Buddha Air said it has dispatched a technical team from Kathmandu to assess the aircraft.
The plane, which was the last flight on the sector, was scheduled to remain overnight at Bhadrapur Airport and return to Kathmandu on the first flight the following morning.
