Banke police has arrested two persons suspected behind a robbery in Mumbai, India. The duo—Lab Shahi, 17, and Jagatjang Shahi, 18 of Dailekh—was caught with IRS 6 million that police believe was robbed from a vehicle belonging to Gaurav Ramesh Gedawan on December 24.
SSP Dhiru Basnyat of Bheri Zonal Police said Lab and Jagatjang were apprehended from Lamki in Banke district on Suday.
IRs 14 million was reportedly snatched in the heist pulled out by four persons. Police said two other suspects— Upendra Shahi and Bharat Shahi of Achham— are still on the run with the remainder sum. Investigation has revealed that Upendra was employed in a building owned by Gedawan.
SSP Basnyat said all four suspects had entered Nepal after the robbery. Since Upendra and Bharat could be hiding inside the country, Nepal Police is pulling out all the stops to capture them, he added.
