Dr Chinta Mani Yogi bags ‘Mrigendra Samjhana Medical Trust’ award

Amidst a programme in Capital, Dr Yogi was awarded for his remarkable contribution in 'spurring spiritual knowledge, harmony and goodwill' in Nepal and aboard. He was handed over the award by Dr Mrigendra Raj Pandey, founder of the Trust and Swami Ananda Arun, co-ordinator of Osho Tapoban.
Dr Yogi holds MD in Yogic Therapy and Master's degree in philosophy and has been actively teaching yoga in various parts of Nepal and abroad. He has authored many books on yoga and spirituality.
Similarly, various other graduates and doctors were also awarded at the function.
Dr Dristi Poudel, topper among female student, from Institute of Medicine was presented with a gold-medal and letter of appreciation. Also, Dr Laxman Prasad Tibrewala from Cardiology unit in Bir Hospital and Amrita Aryal from nursing department of the hospital were awarded.
In the programme, Nepal Diabetic Society was handed over Rs 10,000 as support from the Trust.
Dr Pandey, speaking at the event, said their Trust has been relentlessly working for betterment in health and social sector of the country. He hoped that the awards presented by the Trust will motivate doctors and health professionals to contribute more in their respective fields.
Swami Arun highlighted the role of spirituality in present day society and how its practice would pave way for happiness and peace.
