Speaking at a press meet in Nepalgunj, Mahato accused the government of spreading rumors that the blockade is caused by India. He also said the government blaming India instead of providing security to cargo trucks. Mahato said real traitors are those who termed him a “traitor”. He claimed that leaders who do not want to ensure equal rights for Madhesi people are also traitors. He said they will not end the protest but will also continue negotiations with the government.
Meanwhile, Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav said India as a bordering country has paid attention towards Nepal’s unstable
situation. Addressing party activists in Rupandehi, he said it is useless to blame India for the blockade and that the problem should be resolved within the country. He also said that no one should create environment to divide Pahadi and Madhesi people.
Meanwhile, in Janakpur, Mithila Natyakala Parisad staged a drama named “Aadhikarak Bigul” at Janakchok, expressing solidarity with Tarai protest.
