Two workers died in Kathmandu on Monday evening after falling from the fourth floor of an under-construction building in Durbar Marg.
According to police, the deceased have been identified as Pradeshi Chaudhary, approximately 30, from Kailali, and Bishal Chaudhary, around 20, from Bardiya.
The incident occurred at around 5 pm at a nine-storey building being constructed by Potala Development Pvt Ltd, near Hitipokhari.
The workers were reportedly applying grease inside the lift shaft when the iron chain they were using gave way, causing them to fall. Both sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Bir Hospital, where doctors declared them dead at 5:10 pm.
