Speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union Morang in Biratnagar on Thursday, the Congress youth leader said collective efforts were a must to protect the new constitution.
India interfered in the domestic affairs by resorting to unannounced blockade against Nepal, he said underlining the need of sorting out international disputes through talks. Disputes hovering over the demarcation of federal units should be settled by forming a commission.
"Talks between three parties and United Democratic Madhesi Front are making a positive headway and both parties need positive pressure to lead talks to a logical conclusion," he said.
In a response to journalists, he said strong presence of opposition is expected in a democratic system. He was of a view that either Nepali Congress or CPN (UML) should lead the government and one of the two should stay in the opposition.
