Maya Nepali of Phirke of Pokhara Sub-metropolitan City hacked her spouse Deepak Nepali, 36, in a fit of anger, following family disputes.

Deepak was attacked at around 9:45 am while he was still in bed, according to Police Inspector Sundar Tiwari.He was attacked thrice with a sharp weapon and seriously injured, the police said.

After the incident, he was rushed to the Prithvichowk-based Gandaki Medical Hospital for treatment. But, he could not be treated there and was taken to Manipal Hospital. He is being treated in the emergency ward. Police have arrested his wife Maya for further investigation into the case, it is learnt.
