Travel Operators for Tigers (TOFTiger) has awarded the Hotel Barahi Kathmandu a certification for excellence in sustainable practices. The certification, valid from September 2024 to August 2027, was granted by TOFTiger, recognising the hotel’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

The hotel received remarkable scores in four key TOFTiger eco-footprint rating criteria. “The rating acknowledged the hotel’s moderate environmental impact while highlighting its effective integration of environmental and social considerations into its operations, well-executed decision-making processes and program management,” the hotel said in a statement.

Yogendra Bikram Thapa, the hotel’s corporate director, expressed pride in the achievement and credited the dedication of the hotel’s founders, staff, and stakeholders.
