The company said subscribers need to install a set-top box (STB) along with Subisu cable connection for the service.
“Nepal’s first digital cable television service will definitely change the way we have been watching television in Nepal,” Binaya Mohan Saud, chief executive officer of Subisu, said in a press meet here on Thursday. “People are increasingly demanding new and high definition TV content, so we are totally focused on catering to the current market demand.”

It has reminder and recording technology that enable the consumer to record and set up reminder to watch it later. These features will be updated regularly to meet the requirement.
The company said it will provide its service from the Kathmandu valley, which will gradually be made available in other cities. The company fixed the price of the set-top box at Rs 4,500, excluding VAT. A customer has to pay Rs 500 per month for the service.
