Mobile app for blood transfusion

Keeping in mind the lack of a blood bank in the district, eight youths of Rolpa developed the app that provides information about the volunteer donors who can be contacted in times of crisis. So far, information on 50 blood donors have been updated in the app and six donors have already donated blood to the needy, according to campaigner Binod Dangi.
The mobile app, however, is only available in an android platform.
Purna KC, mayor of Rolpa municipality, said, “Hopefully, people of Rolpa wont have to suffer anymore due to lack of blood.”
Finding blood for the needy had always been a problem, but now, because of this app, it has become easier to search for blood, said Medical Superintendent of District Health Office Prakash Budha.
Digital equipment simplifies treatment
Bajura: Treatment at the Bajura District Hospital has become more convenient with the availability of digitalised computer readable equipment. The equipment, with the assistance of Badimalika municipality, was installed at a cost of Rs 1.6 million. It has made x-ray services and treatments more reliable and effective. With the improvement in the quality of hospital services, the number of patients at the hospital has gone up. The new system is time-saving as it gives prompt results and makes for a convenient diagnosis system, hospital chief Rupchandra Bishwakarma said.
