During his meeting with a team of human rights activists onMonday morning, the Prime Minister said top leaders of major political parties are in favour of the impeachment and discussions among the political parties are going on to approve it.
The delegation led by senior human rights activist Krishna Pahadi demanded that a word 'nonviolence' should be incorporated in the preamble of the constitution, any individual convicted of human rights violation should be barred from an appointment to any post and a national campaign be launched against the drug abuse.
Nepal's role in reducing tension between India and Pakistan, creation of a conducive atmosphere for local poll and the formation of a commission to deal with the climate change issues are among the demands put forth by the delegation during the meeting.
Meantime, the Prime Minister has instructed the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to come up with a draft regarding the government plan to make the capital free from power outage.
During his meeting with NEA executive director Kulman Ghising this morning, the Prime Minister sought support and cooperation from the NEA to materialise the government announcement to end the load shedding in the capital soon.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister directed the NEA to take elaborate measures to control power theft and address the problem of power dues.
In response, Executive Director Ghising expressed NEA full support and cooperation to the government in the effort to end the load shedding in the capital initially and across the country finally. RSS
