MoFALD staff donate salary for Dharahara

Employees at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development have decided to donate a part of their salary for rebuilding the iconic Dharahara Tower in Sundhara which collapsed in the April 25 earthquake last year.
According to the ministry, a meeting on Friday decided that Secretary Mahendra Man Gurung will contribute three days’ salary while other staff will contribute one day’s salary, which amounts to Rs118,000 in total. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli started the “I will construct my Dharahara” campaign last month calling for public contributions for rebuilding the Bhimsen tower.
