Police on Sunday busted a criminal racket and arrested seven persons along with an illegal pistol from Chabahil.

Police from Metropolitan Police Range, Teku arrested the miscreants while they were planning a heist.

The arrestees have been identified as Pushkar Lohani, 27, of Parwat; Burma Tamang, 30 of Sunsari; Syamol Tamang, 27 of Dhading; Ram Sharan Nepali, 25 and Roshan Pariyar, 27 of Nuwakot; Prem Tamang 'Rusi', 27 of Kavre and Wasil Ghale, 27 of Dhading.

Superintendent of Police Bishwo Raj Pokhrel, spokesperson of Range said among the arrestees, Burma has already served six-year jail term on charge of possession of illegal weapon. He said further investigations are underway.
