'Hamro Police' mobile app launched

The Metropolitan Police Office on Sunday launched 'Hamro Police' mobile app, which can be downloaded onto the smart and Android mobile phones.
Police Commissioner Additional IGP Bigyan Raj Sharma said the app was launched with its network spread in the three districts of the Valley under the policy for going hi-tech for curtailing and containing crime. The launching of the app will facilitate the public to inform on the criminal activities through the use of app, police said.
According to police, the app can be used for providing the police detailed information on the incident and crime and inform on the persons or materials that have gone missing or have been found.
The public can send the information through SMS where they have no access to Internet, police said. Apart from filing complaints, the app will also be useful for acquiring information regarding the closest police office and direction on the map. RSS
