Muna Karki, the wife of former secretary Arjun Karki, who was rushed to Star Hospital in Sanepa for a serious head injury, died during treatment on Monday. She was taken to the hospital by the police after her husband found her unconscious in their home at Sanepa in Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 2 with a serious injury on her head in the morning.

Bijay Chaudhary, a domestic help in his early 20s at Karki’s house, was also found dead, hanging from the ceiling in the dining room.

Star Hospital said Muna had a serious wound in her head and bruises on her hands and neck when she was brought to the hospital.

“She was seriously injured in her head and she was unconscious,” a hospital administration source told the Post. “Our doctors performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for 45 minutes in a bid to revive her, but in vain.”

“We rushed her to Star Hospital as it was near the incident site. She had her pulse when we reached the house,” said Senior Superintendent Tek Prasad Rai of Metropolitan Police Range Lalitpur. “But her condition looked critical.”

According to Rai, Chaudhary was already dead when police reached the house.
