Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,039 with one more death
With 337 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 2,800, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Saturday reported one more Covid-19 related fatality, pushing the death toll to 3,039. The country also recorded 337 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 279,725 with 2,800 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 273,886 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 151 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 142 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 116 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 20 in Lalitpur and five in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 191 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 22 in Gandaki, 63 in Lumbini, 26 in Province 1, 24 in Province 2, nine in Sudurpaschim and two in Karnali province.
As of Saturday, 2,309,776 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,532 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal on Friday recorded 288 new infections. Similarly, 332 new infections were confirmed on Thursday and two Covid-19 fatalities and 298 new infections were reported on Wednesday.
