Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,032 with one more death
With 128 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 1,613, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Saturday reported one more Covid-19 related fatality, pushing the death toll to 3,032. The country also recorded 128 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 277,768 with 1,613 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 273,123 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 161 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 69 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 57 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 10 in Lalitpur and two in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 76 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 19 in Lumbini, 12 in Karnali, 10 in Province 2, six in Province 1, four in Gandaki and one in Sudurpaschim.
As of Saturday, 2,281,832 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,727 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal recorded 179 new coronavirus infections on Friday. Similarly, 152 new Covid-19 infections were reported on Thursday and 162 new infections were reported in the country on Wednesday.
