Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 3,031 with one more death
With 152 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 1,579, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Thursday reported one more Covid-19 related fatality, pushing the death toll to 3,031. The country also recorded 152 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 277,461 with 1,579 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 272,851 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 65 of them in the past 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 86 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 73 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, eight in Lalitpur and five in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 93 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 27 in Gandaki, 21 in Lumbini, three each in Sudurpaschim and Province 1, four in Province 2 and one in Karnali.
As of Thursday, 2,275,540 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 4,213 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had reported 162 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday. Similarly, three covid-19 related fatalities and 167 new infections were recorded on Tuesday and 141 new infections were recorded in the country on Monday.
