National Covid-19 tally reaches 276,980 with 141 new infections

Nepal did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said Monday.
The country’s overall death toll due to the Covid-19 related complications stands at 3,027.
In the past 24 hours, the ministry said, the country recorded 141 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall infection number to 276,980.
According to the ministry, 272,612 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 82 of them in the past 24 hours.
The active case count stands at 1,341.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 58 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 50 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, seven in Lalitpur and one in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 61 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 44 in Gandaki, 14 in Sudurpaschim, 11 in Lumbini, six in Province 2, four in Province 1 and one in Karnali.
As of Monday, 2,264,268 PCR tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 3,122 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had reported 89 new infections on Sunday. Similarly, 85 new infections were reported on Saturday while 156 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the country on Friday.
