National Covid-19 tally reaches 276,509 with 120 new infections

Nepal did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said Thursday.
The country’s overall death toll due to the Covid-19 related complications stands at 3,020.
In the past 24 hours, the ministry said, the country recorded 120 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall infection number to 276,509.
According to the ministry, 272,272 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 85 of them in the past 24 hours.
The active case count stands at 1,217.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 65 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 41 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, five in Lalitpur and 19 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 68 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 23 in Gandaki, 13 in Lumbini, seven in Province 1, one in Province 2, three in Karnali and five in Sudurpaschim.
As of Thursday, 2,251,884 PCR tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 2,891 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Nepal had reported one Covid-19 death and 145 new infections on Wednesday. Similarly, 188 new Covid-19 cases were recorded on Tuesday and 150 new cases were reported on Monday,
