Nepal did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said Tuesday.
The country’s overall death toll due to the Covid-19 related complications stands at 3,019.
In the past 24 hours, the ministry said, the country recorded 188 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall infection number to 276,244.
According to the ministry, 272,097 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 77 of them in the past 24 hours.
The active case count stands at 1,128.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 97 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 76 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 16 in Lalitpur and five in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 103 new infections were recorded in Bagmati Province, 61 in Gandaki, 10 in Lumbini, nine in Province 1, two each in Province 2 and Sudurpaschim; and one in Karnali.
As of Tuesday, 2,245,030 PCR tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 4,032 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
