Nepali national cricket team’s new jersey was unveiled on Monday. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and national team’s jersey sponsor mySecond Teacher jointly unveiled the jersey.
The jersey designed by Adarsha Pokahrel was picked among 500 different samples from open competition. Pokharel won Rs100,000 for the design.
Nepal men's cricket team will wear the new outfit during their Oman tour, where Nepal will play two-match one-day international series against Papua New Guinea (PNG) besides Tri-Series matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 involving the USA and hosts Oman. The PNG series will take place on September 5 and 8 while the Tri-Series is scheduled from September 14 to 20.
The newly unveiled jersey engraves the colour of the national flag and moon and sun on the shoulders. The front view of the jersey exhibits Mt Everest, the tallest peak of the World, and a one-horned rhino whereas the rearview portrays the nation's cultural and biological diversity, as well as national unity.
