Zakir Khan and Aayush Shrestha will perform live comedy at the Nepal Academy Hall on May 19. Khan, an Indian comedian and actor, made a name for himself in 2012 when he won Comedy Central India's Best Stand-Up Comedian. He has also appeared on the news comedy programme, On Air with AIB. Additionally, Khan has created three standup specials, all of which run for three hours: Haq Se Single (2017), Kaksha Gyarvi (2018), and Tathastu (2022). His shows are available on Youtube.
The show is titled ‘Smile with Zakir Khan’, and is organised by Addea Services. This is a special show just for the Nepali audience. Khan will continue his popular series of Tathastu but with a new twist. To make the show more exclusive, the episode won’t air on social media platforms. The audience will have to enjoy the live show.
Comedian Aayush Shrestha will be joining him on the show. Shrestha, a computer engineer by profession, is at the forefront of the country’s stand-up scene. With over four years of experience in stand-up comedy, he is popular for his involvement in Comedy Tuk Tuk, a stand-up comedy group.
Shrestha will perform the opening act, after which Khan will take over the stage for an hour and 30 minutes.
