Euta Esto Prem Kahani, an upcoming Nepali feature starring Shakti Shrestha, son of legendary actor Shiva Shrestha, was announced amid a function held at Radisson Hotel in Lazimpat on Sunday. The inaugural event saw Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun as its chief guest.

Speaking at the function, Pun relayed his best wishes to the filmmakers and expressed hope that “the movie would distinguish itself from the current lot of Nepali films and create a benchmark for films to come”.

Boasting a considerable budget, the Dipesh Sapkota directorial is written and produced by Shiva Shrestha, who is often touted as the “Action King” of Nepali cinema. The film will mark debut for Shakti, Shiva’s son, who was until recently residing in Australia.

Euta Esto Prem Kahani will have Roshan Bhattarai, who has worked on several South Indian films, directing the action sequences. The film will also have as part of its crew the Singapore-based martial artist Prabhu Shrestha. Actor Navaraj BK, who has worked in over a dozen Indian movies including a recent Sunny Deol film, will be playing the main antagonist.

Further, DIG Pawan Kharel will be playing a fictional version of himself for the film while actors Shiva Shrestha, Dinesh Darshandhari, and Yashoda Rai will also feature in prominent roles. Also, Mala Limbu, of Thamel Bazar and Kale Dai fame, will be seen in a dance sequence.

The producers aim to release the film by August, 2018.
