Painting competition for nature conservation
Eurika Shrestha of South Point Boarding School bagged the first prize at the painting competition, titled Wildlife Conservation for Prosperity; the competition was organised to raise awareness about nature and wildlife conservation. The competition, organised in co-ordination with the National Parks and Wildlife Reserve department, took place at Maitighar Mandala on Monday. At the competition, Samriddhi Rai of Global Pathshala won the second prize, while Kanchan Dhakal of Triyog School, and Sagun Singh Thakuri of Ambition Academy bagged the third and fourth prizes, respectively. “The event was organised to propagate the dire need to conserve nature among the masses,” said Man Bahadur Khadka, one of the organisers.
The competition was organised to mark the 23rd Wildlife Conservation Week.
