Garud Puran, an upcoming comedy, is slated to go on the floor this week. Produced under the banner of Ajit Films and Ashok Gautam Films, the movie is being co-directed by Susan Prajapati and Subash Koirala. While Susan will solely lead the filming, Subash will head the cinematography. 

Garud Puran will feature actors Karma, Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Prabin Khatiwada, and Najir Hussein, among others. The film also marks the debut of actress Priyanka Singh Thakuri. While the story for the movie was written by Kasam Nepal, the screenplay has been written by Akash Baral, Binod Khatiwada and Subash Koirala. Ujjwal Dhakal was editor for the movie. 

During an event organised in the Capital, director Subash Koirala shared that the movie attempts to present the Nepali society as it is. 

“Subash and I have been coworking for a long time. We have had successes and failures. And Garud Puran, our next project, is also our journey for learning,” said Susan Prajapati. Actor Karma praised the movie’s story and also requested viewers to enjoy his character. 

The movie will be filmed in Kathmandu and its outskirts.
