White Sun lands the best direction award

For the year 2073 BS, Kalo Pothi has bagged three awards: Best Film, Best Screenplay (Abhinash Bikram Shah and Min Bahadur Bham), and Best Cinematographer (Aziz Jambhakiv).
Deepak Rauniyar has bagged the award for best direction (White Sun), while David Barker for White Sun has received the best editing award. Best actor award will be shared by Bipin Karki for Jatra and Maotsey Gurung for Purano Dhunga, while the best actress award is going to Keki Adhikari for her role in Love Sasha.
The society, through a press release, also announced the winners for the year 2072 BS. Pashupati Prasad has bagged two awards: Best Film, Best Screen Writer: Khagendra Lamichhane, and Best Director: Dipendra K Khanal. Sailendra Karki has bagged Best Cinematography, while Surendra Poudyal Abbal has been recognised for his editing for movie Classic. Saugat Malla has received the Best Actor award for Fanko while Rishma Gurung has won the Best Actress award for her role in Kabaddi Kabaddi.
The society has announced that it will present the awards to the winners amid a ceremony to be held on November 22, at Shilpee Theatre, in Kathmandu.
