The cycle tour, dubbed ‘Ride to Sindhuligadhi’, will have 110 participants and will be led by famed cyclist Puskar Shah, with the cyclists traversing a total of 153 km by the time they reach the historic fort.
The organisers informed that adequate measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the cyclists. “The cyclists have been insured and emergency services such as ambulances, a medical team, and bike repair mechanics will be at hand to tackle any unwanted incidents. There will also be a group of volunteers at key locations to help the cyclists,” the organisers said, releasing a press statement on the eve of the event.
The entourage of cyclists will rest in Khurkot and participate in a ‘victory celebration’ the following day. As part of the celebration ceremony, the event will see various cultural expositions along with a food festival organised by Sindhuli Hotel Association, followed by a musical concert. President Bidya Bhandari will preside as the Chief Guest of the celebration.
The organisers said that the celebration has been planned meticulously for almost a year, and is aimed at promoting tourism in Sindhuli.
