Confluence: Music for the Soul, a charity musical event, is slated to take place at the Army Officers Club, in Sundhara today.

Organised by Renaissance Events Nepal, the event, as its title suggest, will have on show performances that will mix eastern classical music with contemporary tunes—ranging from Bollywood songs, Western-Eastern classical fusion songs, instrumentals, and sufi songs.

“The event will work toward developing a creative, and intuitive understanding of music as a cultural language, breaking communication barriers,” the organisers said.

The show will be highlighted by noted artists from India and Nepal in the likes of Neepa Choudhary, Sudesh Subedi, Vivek Karmahe, and Subhan Khan, among others.

The charity event, organisers say, focusses on raising funds for people who are living in poverty; the funds collected from the event will be used for providing social service to improve the quality of life among underprivileged Nepalis.

The event will start at 5 pm.
