The grand finale of the seventh iteration of the music reality show Big Icon will take place in Pokhara, next Friday. Organised by Big FM, the show has selected three finalists—Sagar Ale, Priya Gurung and Subash Gurung—who will be competing for the title award.

The three contestants were selected out of 1,152 participants from 54 districts through auditions held over the last two months.

Speaking to the Post, one of the finalists, Priya Gurung, said, “I was eliminated from the top 20 last season. Now that I am here in the finale, I am really excited and hopeful that I will be able to bag the title.”

Another finalist Subash Gurung also shared similar feelings and said, “I am eagerly waiting for the final and hope that the best singer will win the title.”

The show is judged by the singers Samsung Tamang, Bibek Shrestha and composer Sunil Thapa. The winner for the show will be selected on the basis of popular voting. The winner will be presented with a scooter worth Rs 175,000 and a trip to the United Kingdom.

The programme is a reality show with the biggest cash prize being held outside of Kathmandu.
