Book exhibition draws 100,000
A book exhibition organised by Dikura Publication in Bhrikutimandap in the Capital has concluded this week.A book exhibition organised by Dikura Publication in Bhrikutimandap in the Capital has concluded this week. The exhibition, that aimed to promote the reading culture, drew an audience totaling more than 100,000.
The exhibition featured stalls from different Nepali publishing houses and books from different genres were on display.
“As we expected the exhibit managed to work as a bridge between publishers, writers and readers; which helped to trace the current trend of reading and the readers’ taste and preferences,” says exhibition coordinator, Punya Prasad Prasai.
The exhibition featured more than 10,000 books from over a hundred publishing houses. Rs 450,000 were made in sales throughout the 11-day exhibition, with fiction, self-help books and biographies emerging as favorites among readers.
