Art Exhibition on Devkota to be held in China

The two-day-long event will display paintings based on Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota’s life and work. The event will feature artworks created by Nepali artists such as Ragini Upadhyay, Sharada Chitrakar, Naradmani Hartamchhali, Sushma Rajbhandari, Tekbir Mukhiya, Nagendra Prasad Poudyal, Devendra Thumkeli, Keshav Raj Khanal and Vivek Mukarung, among others.
The exhibition will also feature 40 flex banners and documentaries based on Devkota’s life and craft and books penned by Devkota.
To take part in the event, a team from Devkota-Lu Xun Academy, led by Ninu Chapagain, took off for Beijing on Saturday.
The team includes artists and litterateurs such as Rambabu Subedi, Ranendra Baraili, Harigovinda Luintel, Krishna Prasain, Matrika Pokharel, Mahesh Poudyal and Jivan Sharma.
The event will host a discussion programme that analyses the relationship between Nepal and China, to mark the completion of 60 years of diplomatic relationship between two countries.
