Priyanka Thapaliya was crowned Miss Nepal US 2015 in an event held at the New York Society for Ethical Culture on Saturday. Kausila Lama and Neha Jha were the first and second runners-up respectively.

Thapaliya, after winning the pageant shared her experience with Nepal11 Radio said she would like on the education system in Nepal.  “My future plan is to focus on rebuilding Nepal. I haven't talked with the organization about the upcoming projects yet. Personally, I would like to focus on rebuilding education system of Nepal. As today's children are the future of Nepal,” she said according to the official page of the pageant.

The event also hosted performances and fashion gala to support the earthquake victims in Nepal. Some of the performers were Gaurav Dagaonkar, Keki Adhikari, Nalina Chitrakar, Nandita KC. The event also had the presence of distinguished actors like Manisha Koirala, Gulshan Grover, Sunil Thapa and Deepti Naval.
