Pop album ‘Savar Smriti’ released
Aspiring singer Smriti Pokharel released her debut album Savar Smriti at the Bakery Cafe, Sundhara, on Wednesday.The pop album consists of eight songs and one music track.
Smriti Pokharel, who is a nurse by profession, is currently based in Australia. She had traveled back home to work on her album. The artist, who is a self-taught singer, was helped by Singh to hone her vocal skills. During the introductory talk about the album, she thanked her family, especially her mother, and Singh for believing in her. When asked about the meaning behind her album’s title, she said, “Savar is the name of an avatar of Lord Shiva who, I believe, has helped me in many aspects of my life.”
Ghimire congratulated Pokharel for her success and said, “I always knew that Smriti had an interest in music and I am happy that she got the opportunity to display her talent to the nation.”
The ceremony concluded with the display of the recently released music videos of the songs Nau Daada, Kasto Bhana Timi, Mayai Ho and Timi Nai.
