Kirtan artist Radhika Das to perform at Patan Museum
The London-based singer will lead an evening of mantra, rhythm and collective chanting.Post Report
Radhika Das, a London-based kirtan artist, is set to perform live in Nepal on March 27, 2026 at Patan Museum. The event, ‘Radhika Das Live in Nepal’, is organised by Rehan Shrestha and Esparsh Sarawagi, who aim to introduce Nepali audiences to the growing global movement of spiritual music experiences.
Das is particularly known for his powerful kirtan performances, an art that he has immersed himself in for more than 15 years.
Across the world, there has been a noticeable revival of interest in kirtans and bhajans; ancient devotional forms of music that blend mantra, rhythm, and collective chanting.
“Being someone who is deeply spiritual, I felt there was a lack of musical experiences in Nepal that could transport people into a blissful and mindful state,” said Shrestha, co-organiser of the event. “Our musical landscape is more familiar with concerts and DJ nights, but devotional music has the power to elevate consciousness and create a profound shared experience.”
Their previous event featuring sitar virtuoso Rishab Rikhiram Sharma at Patan Durbar Square received an overwhelming response from audiences, demonstrating Nepal’s growing appreciation for classical and meditative musical traditions. Building on that success, the organisers now aim to bring another transformative musical experience to Nepal through the globally celebrated kirtan artist Radhika Das.
“Through mantra and meditation, we want people to feel connected to a deeper sense of divine energy and immerse themselves in the magic of kirtan,” Shrestha added
