Nepal will see fog and mist in parts of the Tarai and partly cloudy conditions in the hills and mountains over the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

In its forecast issued at 8am on Sunday, the division said some Tarai areas will experience fog or mist during the day. Hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will see mainly fair weather. One or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi Province may receive light rain or snowfall.

At night, fog is likely in a few Tarai locations. Parts of the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Gandaki provinces will remain partly cloudy, with mainly fair weather elsewhere.

The division said a partial influence of westerly winds is affecting Nepal’s weather.
