The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi Province, Lumbini Province, and the hilly regions across the country today, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. The rest of the country is likely to see mainly fair to partly cloudy conditions.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in Koshi and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the hilly regions. There is also a chance of light snowfall at one or two locations in the high mountainous areas.

Tonight, partly to generally cloudy skies are expected in Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces along with the hilly regions. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is forecast at a few locations in these provinces and at one or two places in the hilly regions elsewhere. Light snowfall is also possible in high-altitude areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

The Division said the current weather pattern is influenced by westerly and local winds over western and central Nepal, and monsoon winds in most parts of Koshi Province.
